The Swedish Foundation for Human Rights’ Annual Essay Competition

The Swedish Foundation for Human Rights organises an annual essay competition aimed at students. The purpose of the competition is to highlight the links between human rights and peace and security. In previous years, the competition has focused on the African, Inter-American and European human rights systems, as well as regional institutions in Asia and Oceania. In connection with the essay competition, the Swedish Foundation for Human Rights has also organised seminars in which experts and the competition’s finalists participate.
