Whistleblowing Channel
The Swedish Foundation for Human Rights is guided by Transparency Internationals definition of the word whistleblower as a person who reports situations that are contrary to the purpose and values of the Swedish Foundation for Human Rights, for example through corruption or other forms of misconduct.
In cases of suspected corruption or misconduct involving partner organisations, the Swedish Foundation for Human Rights shall promptly take appropriate measures to minimise any potential harm and ensure a swift investigation. The investigation shall focus on what has occurred and not on the whistleblower. In cases of suspected misconduct or corruption, the whistleblower should inform:
The Secretary General (if the whistleblower works within or with the Swedish Foundation for Human Rights). If the Secretary General is involved, or if their impartiality may be called into question, the whistleblower should instead contact the Chair of the Board.
The Programme Manager (if the whistleblower is a partner or works with a partner organisation). If the Programme Manager is involved, or if their impartiality may be called into question, the whistleblower should instead contact the Secretary General or, if necessary, the Chair of the Board of the Swedish Foundation for Human Rights.
Suspicions of corruption or other misconduct may also be reported to the organisation’s auditor (either that of the Swedish Foundation for Human Rights or of the partner organisation).
Contact details for reporting are available under “Staff and Board.”
