The Swedish Human Rights Network
The Human Rights Network (HR Network) consists of civil society organisations working with and for human rights in Sweden.
The common denominator among the members of the HR Network is their commitment to the equal value and dignity of all people. From different perspectives, approaches and conditions, members work to ensure that human rights are respected, protected and promoted.
The HR Network monitors and collaborates on parallel reporting to the United Nations and the European human rights system. Members share responsibility for coordination across the various review processes.
The HR Network brings together knowledge, shares experiences, and contributes to increased awareness of human rights. When necessary, the Network coordinates advocacy and other initiatives to monitor the implementation of human rights in Sweden.
The HR Network maintains ongoing contact and cooperation with actors engaged in promoting and defending human rights.
Members of the HR Network strive to support each other’s causes and, where this is not possible, to refrain from undermining one another’s work.
The Network is coordinated by the Swedish Foundation for Human Rights.
